A Personal Reflection
I vividly remember the day my father died. Even though he was 87 years old and it had been expected his actual death still took us all by surprise. I never imagined that in my late forties I would be catapulted back to being a child and totally dependent on him always being around for my sisters and I. This memory has served as a reminder of the unpredictability of life and the inevitability of loss.
